Help us reduce Business Tax Compliance Costs
Complying with tax
rules takes time and effort. The government is looking for ways to
reduce the amount of time and effort small and medium sized
businesses spend dealing with calculating and paying tax, so that
you have more time to spend on your business.
The government has announced that it will release a Discussion Document later in the
year to explore ways to reduce business tax compliance costs with a
focus on SMEs. The Discussion Document is being prepared by Inland
Revenue and Treasury.
Once the Discussion Document is released you will be able to make submissions
about the issues raised in it. If you received an email or letter
from us, or made a submission regarding issues that could be
included in the Discussion Document, you will receive a notification
of the formal release of the document.
